Sports Therapy at Serendipity Wellness® with Tracy Richardson

 What is Sports Therapy?

Sports Therapy involves evidence based practice built upon sport and exercise science principles, and well researched rehabilitation, injury prevention and management methods.

Tracy is a Masters Degree graduate, and the treatment involves hands on treatments and exercise rehabilitation, with the focus upon restoring, maintaining and maximising your function and movement to relieve pain and increase quality of life.

You need to be functional- but you don’t need to be a sports person to have sports therapy!

Acute muscular and skeletal injuries and longer term dysfunctions do not just occur in sports people, they are common in everyday life.

They can occur as a result of non-optimal everyday movements and posture, repetitive movements, as well as under or overworking muscles.

Additionally injuries can occur when we least expect it, ever turned over on your ankle walking the dog? Ever mis-stepped off a kerb and jarred your knee?

These are musculoskeletal injuries- but they're not in the least bit sports related.
